Over the course of several weeks, we explored the subject of workflow automation and debunked some of the most common myths associated with it (unemployment, hard to implement, expensive), and how it can it can benefit your business and the world in macro.
This brings me to my final point – why is it important for us to invest our time, energy, and resources into workflow automation (instead of Blockchain?!) and where do we go next?
Automation, as we all know, is not new. The term was coined during the 1940s to describe the thriving automobile industry and has since progressed into a pivotal system that has changed the way we operate our businesses.
We should embrace the opportunities and the emotional fears that come with it. Automating complicated things is a good and necessary improvement – let’s overcome our fear, uncertainty, and doubt about being replaced or losing control of our work.
As prominent physicist and chemist, Marie Curie famously stated: “Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.”
We want to learn from these systems – they’re here to help, not hinder, freeing us from doing menial tasks that prevent us from actual productive work and allows us to have a level of peacefulness and fulfillment that is necessary to thrive.
For example, we’re seeing this in the restaurant biz where machines are being implemented in doing basic tasks, such as at McDonald’s, where kiosks are on the rise. The simplicity of these booths creates shorter wait lines, easier customizable orders, and faster payment options, giving its customers a stress-free experience that they can enjoy.
